How-To Care Guide
Indian Almond Leaves
Indian Almond Leaves (Catappa) are rich in tannin which help balance/lower aquarium pH for healthier beta, fish, shrimp, axolotls and all aquarium life. They improve
immunities
and promote breeding. For terrarium/vivarium applications, they provide natural hides for amphibians and reptiles and are a nature food source for microfauna. As they decay, they provide nutrients for vivarium plants.

How-To-Application Guide
Aquariums: Simply drop leaves into aquarium. Fish and shrimp will start nibbling on leaves, using them for cover, or may even lay eggs on or under the leaves. Or you can cut leaves into smaller pieces for convenience and beauty in your aquarium.
- Community Fish Tank: Use 2 leaves per 10-gallons water
- Beta Fish: Use 2 leaves per 5-gallons water
- Beta Fish Breeding: Use 1 leaf per 5-gallons water
- Shrimp/Fry: Use 1 leaf per 10-gallons water
- Axolotls: Use 2 leaves per 20-gallons water
Vivarium/Terrarium: Create a tropical rainforest environment by placing leaves on top of substrate and moisten thoroughly.
Note:
- Fish, shrimp and microfauna will feed on leaves so add additional leaves as necessary
